Vision Board
We will not always be in the position we are in now – the power will shift. What do we want when we reclaim our government? We need a plan.
We created the Vision Board to be a free brainstorming space where folks can add a note with their thoughts on what kind of government they would like to see in the future America.
I grew up in a segregated school. My granddaughter goes to a school with kids from everywhere, and she’s better for it. But her textbooks are falling apart and her teacher buys supplies out of pocket. We didn’t fight for a seat at the table just to watch the table fall apart.
Don’t we all just really want our representatives to be honest, forthright and fair with us? We are SO far from that being reality in the moment! I guess the positive thing about hitting peek corruption and lies is that we all know what we DON’T want! Hopefully voters will be more aware that corruption can and does happen in a democracy! But we have the power and can vote it out!!
My parents came here with nothing and built a life through sheer determination. Immigration is not a threat — it’s the story of this country. I want an America that remembers that and treats people with dignity at every border.
Full financial transparency for every elected official. Real-time public dashboards showing where every tax dollar goes. If we can track a pizza delivery, we can track government spending.
I’ve voted in every election since 1968. I’ve seen this country go through some ugly chapters and come out the other side. What scares me now isn’t the disagreement — it’s that people have stopped listening. I want my grandkids to grow up in a country where you can sit across from someone you disagree with and still share a meal.
Same-day voter registration in every state. If you can show up, you should be able to vote. Period. We make it harder to cast a ballot than to buy a gun, and that needs to change.
I envision every community having access to clean water, clean air, and green space. Environmental justice means the zip code you grow up in shouldn’t determine whether you can breathe easy or play outside safely.
My grandmother worked two jobs and still couldn’t retire. I want an America where a full-time job means a living wage, where Social Security is protected, and where hard work actually leads to stability — not just survival. #thrivenotjustsurvive
My husband and I both worked union jobs, bought a house, and retired with dignity. My grandchildren work multiple jobs and can barely afford rent. Something broke along the way and we need to fix it!

Term limits for Congress. Twelve years max — same as many governors. Public service was never meant to be a lifelong career. Fresh perspectives keep democracy healthy.
I want to live in an America where no one has to choose between paying rent and seeing a doctor. Healthcare is a human right, not a privilege. Every person in this country deserves access to quality care regardless of their zip code or income.
I dream of a country where we argue about policy, not identity. Where disagreement doesn’t mean enemy. We’ve forgotten how to be neighbors first and partisans second. That’s what I want back. #kindness #compassion
Every high school student should graduate knowing how a bill becomes law, how to read a ballot, and how local government actually works. I’m 71 years old and I’ve watched the beaches I grew up on disappear. My grandkids deserve to see the Florida I knew. I don’t need to be around for the fix, but I need to know we started it. That’s what grandparents do — we plant trees we’ll never sit under.
Up with education, science, the humanities, health care, social security, public media, living wages, the rule of law, and government accountability and transparency.
